Cracks in the Shield: Polish Counterintelligence and the NATO Fallout
A Polish NATO general’s ouster case raises doubts about Warsaw’s intelligence services—just when the West can’t afford a single security slip.
On this Substack, we regularly—and almost obsessively—highlight the dire situation facing Poland’s intelligence services ever since Donald Tusk and his coalition took power at the end of 2023. As our readers and viewers of the “Rock Rachon” and “Rock Rachon We Rollin” shows know well, we focus primarily on the war Russia is waging against Western democracies through disinformation, hybrid operations, and outright intelligence activities. This is dramatic for several reasons: it involves a high-ranking NATO officer, highlights the perfidy and unprofessionalism of the current leadership of the SKW, and has affected a widely respected specialist and, by many accounts, a decent human being. In recent days, investigative reporting (not conducted by conservative-leaning outlets, mind you) has shed new light on this matter, confirming our earlier findings and suspicions regarding Gen. Gromadziński’s dismissal from the position of Eurocorps commander.
