Taking over Russian financial assets in the West
Stratfor argues that that's a possibility... that can backclash.
Stratfor open source intelligence agency published an interesting assessment last week. Its authors argue that the Western governments, particularly the United States and its allies, are facing a complex decision regarding the frozen Russian assets in their jurisdictions, estimated at about $300-350 billion. With increasing domestic resistance to providing more financial aid to Ukraine, there is a growing consideration to use these frozen assets to support Kyiv's war effort.
