The 1000 days (1015 days at the moment of publication, to be exact) of war prompt a reflection—what direction will this conflict take, which in fact has already lasted over 10 years (since March 2014 - illegal annexation by the Russian Federation of the territory of Ukraine - the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, located on the Crimean Peninsula) and has been a full-scale war since February 22, 20221? Ukraine was expected to fall quickly because a stronger opponent attacked simultaneously from the south, east, and north. Kyiv defended itself. Kharkiv did too. Kherson was quickly recaptured.
