From East to West: Poland Faces Migrant Attacks from Russia/Belarus and German Betrayal

As Russia and Belarus weaponize migrants in the east, Germany betrays Poland in the west. Tusk’s inaction puts our sovereignty at risk in this hybrid war.

The actions on the frontlines of the West’s war with the Moscow-Beijing-Tehran axis have reached a new level with the attack Israel carried out on the Iranian military, as well as its nuclear program facilities and personnel. Whether this escalation was the most appropriate move at this moment is hard to say for now—it’s clear that attempts to halt Iran’s nuclear program have been unsuccessful for a long time. It seems that, in this regard, the Obama administration made a critical mistake by engaging in the so-called Iran Nuclear Deal. Operation Rising Lion will undoubtedly have a greater impact than the recent rounds of diplomatic talks. For some time now, Iran has been convinced it would achieve its goal and acquire nuclear weapons, so any attempts to deter it with threats of sanctions or harsh words on the international stage were doomed to fail. In our view, this escalation was inevitable—fortunately, Israel’s preparations were so thorough that the possibility of retaliation from the ayatollah regime is minimal. They can realistically only resort to terrorist-style attacks using drones. Other forms of retaliation are either impossible (full-scale war) or highly disadvantageous (air strikes or ballistic missiles).

While the Middle East is engulfed in flames, tensions are also rising on NATO’s eastern flank. The two-week period given by President Trump to Putin to demonstrate a desire for peace has just passed. Putin, of course, scoffed at the ultimatum issued at the end of May, though in the media, he’ll claim it’s Ukraine that’s ruining peace prospects by blowing up his bombers, drone bases, or ammunition depots. Meanwhile, he’s conducting the largest airstrikes on Ukrainian cities since the war began. Russia is intensifying its actions not only in the air, bombing Ukrainian residential blocks and hospitals, but also in the Baltic Sea—as we wrote about 20 days ago. Their activity in hybrid operations is also increasing, particularly the intensity of their migrant attack on Poland’s border, which is significantly aided by favorable weather. As experts emphasize, we can expect the hybrid attack, orchestrated by Moscow and Minsk, to escalate further, as it seems to be yielding increasing success—the Tusk government does not prioritize security, being primarily occupied with fighting the opposition and free media. Due to reduced support, poor organization, and legal actions against soldiers (recently, for example, a soldier was prosecuted for firing warning shots), the situation for rank-and-file soldiers guarding the border is becoming increasingly difficult. Moreover, Russia sees that it’s not alone in this “migrant attack” on Poland, as Germany is doing the same on our western border. Yes, our NATO ally and EU partner is increasingly brazen in illegally pushing migrants across its eastern border. Furthermore, German media report that criminal proceedings are being launched in Germany against groups stopping the nighttime “export of doctors and engineers” from Germany to Poland. This is all the more absurd given that a recent Berlin court ruling declared the pushback of migrants from Germany to Poland illegal
