I thought Poland is a democracy. Governments that ban public discourse, debate or the transmission of critiques of any public official are usually not democracies. Censorship is a step in the wrong direction unless a country is at war or declared martial law.
I can only assume that this is political retribution for the reporting of Vladimir Putin’s plans to carve up Ukraine. I thought the series was informative, and a justifiable critique of Donald Tusk for failing to report Putin’s plan.
I hope that the government reconsiders their decision. Censorship is a step in the wrong direction. They may quiet their critics, but it doesn’t silence the message.
