Germany forgot that (about) half of the whole country was under the russian rule. Worse, they forgot how was it like to live with no human rights, under the rigid communist controlled state, and that russia took their goods as often as twice a month. Germany, pretty much like russia, does not want to be a normal country. We expected Germany will become the leader of Europe, the best example to follow. How disappointing.

Sorry, I wrote my comment about giving back East Germany to appease Putin before I got to reading this. My dad flew in the Berlin Airlift to save the Germans from Russia's first act of aggression. No way Germany should be the leader of Europe, if any, that should be Poland.

I've never trusted the Germans. It's easy for them to do this super dumb appeasement deal with it's not their homes being "negotiated" away in Donbas like mine will be!

If Bild and Germany are so keen on appeasing Russia they should offer East Germany back to Russia to "finally" seal the deal.

If Germany does end up appeasing Russia, it will mark the end of them being a "big player" in Europe.

Indeed, back in 2014 when this first war first started, Fuhrerin Merkel signs the Nord Stream deal that helps to fund the hybrid war and then the big war in 2022. The problem is the next big player in Europe after Germany, which is France, has even more Putin boot lickers than in Germany. Pretty much well all the opposition parties to Macrons, the Gaulists, LePenn etc are all pro-Russia.

Indeed. In an ideal world Poland or Italy would take over for the hopeless Germany. But that currently still seems unlikely given their economies.

If Germany (AKA the Kremlin Kreeps) would pay Poland the war reparation it deserves that would sort the economics nicely.

Interestingly, militarily, Poland is probably superior to Germany, they're ready for a fight and could kick Russia's ass on their own without NATO help, imho!

Poland has bigger cohones (yes I know I spelt it with an "h" not a "j", I don't speak Spanish) than Germany, France and the US Congress or it would seem even NATO. I know NATO is "only for" defence but I've heard that the best defence is sometimes ATACK.

Actually now that mention attack, on linked-in when I mentioned that Poland could kick Russia's ass on it's own, some guy, I assume Polish, I can't remember his name replied "exactly, that's why we should start open war!" haha

Shame on Germany and America, they allow a bully to scare them into submission only to save themselves so they think! Numb Nuts in the terrorist country will still go after them, due to the original incompetence of President Biden last year when asked about further involvement in the war, he stupidly said no because it would cause WW3, played straight into the hands of numb nuts in the kremlin. The result all numb nuts had to do was threaten nuclear weapons and just like the bullies in the school yard everyone backed away. So this whole mess is partially due to that stupid comment and the slackness of countries supply of weapons.....note at the beginning America was saying Ukraine was fighting for democracy for the free world as well, so what happened to suddenly not find that of importance. Either way Ukraine is a country of great strength and the Ukrainians have shown bravery and is a country united like no other. So as far as I’m concerned, I believe Ukraine will win and I will continue to stand with Ukraine, and when they get back every ounce of their territory back, I hope they remember what these two countries tried to do. Glory to Ukraine and Glory to the heroes all Ukrainians.

Sorry for confusion meaning idiot, reference is to do with putin, Aka poohtin! Like your style re description of the Speaker of US Congress squeaker and a twat!! Glad to hear you also support Ukraine, her people have integrity, resilience and country of great unity, the world focus has completely shifted is of concern, in saying that though I have no doubt, Ukraine will win. I’m not one much for talking about world issues, politics etc…..I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed….but I think what has happened to Ukraine has been a wake up call for everyone worldwide. Once upon a time an issue like this would have only been discussed by journalist, but now we all can have a voice which is great, its so important for Ukrainians to know that they are still heard, the world sees and we wont abandon them. The world is in such upheaval at the moment a real concern, so I feel it’s best to have a little understanding, otherwise our governments can’t be held to account. Perfect example our prime minister was invited to NATO summit earlier this year as an observer I suppose you’d call it. The media found out he wasn’t going to attend, boy did that come back to bite him on the bum, due to the public backlash which came across loud and clear on talkback radio callers, emails, texts people unimpressed with the prime minister even current affair style programs, news, in the the end our weak prime minister got the message and was shamed into attending. Anyway after I completely diverted hope that answers your question didn’t realise how late it is past 8pm so I better go get dinner ready for hubby before he gets home. Glory to Ukraine and Glory to the heroes all Ukrainians.
